Discover trips through locations

Cycling trips redesigned

We have redesigned the way how the towns and cities are coded when a a cycling trip is designed and published. What has changed is that now you can discover cycling trips and events in the region or town your are looking to rent a bike or checking out for cycling routes our staff has uploaded.

Moreover, you can discover related trips or events that are happening in the same region as you, with the ones being closer to appear as more related and higher in the search results.

Example

Imagine that you are checking out some of the routes we have selected for you around the Nafplio. The scenic town of Nafplio is located at the prefecture of Argolis, which is part of the greater region of Peloponnese. The new layout will enable you to see various trips / events that primarily include Nafplio in their itineraries and then to browse through others that take place in the region of the Peloponnese.

Manually select your bike size

One rule to fit them all, not quite possible

All of the rental bikes indexed by our software are mapped for specific height ranges. However, this does not cover all the possible scenarios. There are a lot of times, where cyclists opt for a slightly larger or smaller size. The height, the body’s particular geometry, the riding style and the preference are all factors that can determine whether riding on a smaller / larger than usual bike is a better option.

We just recommend, the final selection is yours

During the step where you select their bikes and your accessories, we have added a button where our recommendation is preselected. There, your may click and select if the smaller or larger bike is available. Once any bikes is selected and confirmed, our mechanics and drivers will ensure to prepare and deliver the bike of choice, sized as you prefer. It is easy.. right? 🙂

Renting multiple bikes: the size matters

Okay… we know that our software is not about nuclear physics, but we are still looking for a reason why it so hard to find rental systems to mach the riders height. In our case, things have just gotten a bit easier.

Fuzz about which size is the correct one

There are hundreds of different bike manufacturers, with excellent products. From carbon, hi-end roads bikes, all the way to steel commuters and cargo e-bikes. We love every single piece of them. However, each one of them uses different standards when it comes to bike sizing. Some prefer to use “small”, “large” etc labels to size their products, while others use some inches, such as 52, 54 ,58. But this is not the end. It is quite often that a same sized bike from two different manufacturers, end up having significant sizing differences. If you ride a medium bike, it doesn’t mean that your next bike should be the same. Imagine how difficult that can get when you rent a bike for your holidays.

Your height, the key for renting a suitable bike

Based on both the manufacturers specifications and our experience of fitting hundred of cyclists, all of the bikes indexed by our software, are mapped according to the rider’s height they are suitable for. That way users can easily rent a bike without worrying if their rental is suitable or not. Just the input of each rider is enough for us to allocate proper sized bikes.
